1 ALS Joining Instruction
English language competency: All learners must have Level 1 English Language competency to take part in the SIA Linked Qualification.
You don’t need to take part in the English language assessment if you can provide a certificate that is equivalent to level 1 English assessment.
Required Documents:
- ID’s (Passport / Uk Driving Licence / Uk birth Certificate / Uk BRP Card)
- Proof of Address: (2 original proof of address within last 3 month)
- UK Passport size photo (3 Copies)
Payment:
If you have paid the deposit for your course, the remaining balance has to be cleared the day you start your course.
Home Study Instruction:
For the Door Supervisor and CCTV operator you need the Module 1 which is working in the private Security Industry (WPSI) is part of the distance learning programme. You need to study 10 hours for this unit and complete the attached workbook. You need to download and study Module 1 Notes and complete the workbook manual. Your tutor must see the completed workbook before you will be allowed to take part on the course.
To download WPSI note please go to www.1alssecurity.co.uk and select download from the Menu bar select the module you need and put your password to download the Module you require.
For the Door Supervisor top up course you need to visit www.1alssecurity.co.uk and select download from the Menu bar select the door supervisor top-up module, to download the Module you need to put your password. However you have the entire module there. You can download and study from there.
Personal Belongings:
Learners are responsible for their own personal belongings. We don’t have secure cabinet for the belongings.
Videoing and taking pictures:
Videoing and taking pictures are not permitted without the express written permission of 1 ALS Security.
Clothing and Jewellery:
Please ensure you bring and wear adequate training kit for the full duration of the course including long tracksuit bottoms, appropriate training shoes (heels, open-toed shoes are not accepted). For personal safety reasons all jewellery must be removed (Including wedding rings) prior to any training commencing.
Hygiene:
Due to the nature of the training you all will be working in close proximity to and making physical contact with one another. That is why is it important to maintain the personal hygiene is of a decent standard. Ex nails are to short and clean.
Timetable and ID restrictions:
SIA courses are regulated courses and the timetable of the course must be followed strictly. Any late arrival more than 10 minutes will not be allowed for the course. We start our class at 9:30 and finish 18:00. Also you must need to carry your ID with you every day till the day you finish your course.
